Summary

Once upon a time, a farmer was tilling his field when it suddenly became dark, and heavy rain began to pour down. "Ku-wabara, ku-wabara, waah!" he shouted as he ran under a large tree, and amidst the flashes of lightning and claps of thunder, something fell in front of him. When he opened his eyes, he saw an unfamiliar child rolling on the ground.

"Who are you? Are you thunder?" asked the farmer.

"I'm a child of thunder! Please, if you save my life, I will repay you!" the child pleaded desperately.

"Can you really repay me?"

"I will grant any wish you have."

"Then, I want a child. If you help me, I will save your life."

"I promise!" the child replied and raised his hands towards the sky. Then, he disappeared riding on a bolt of lightning.

After that, the farmer's wife gave birth to a healthy boy. Ten years later, the boy grew up to be kind and strong. "Parents, the time has come for me to leave. I want to test my strength against the mighty ones in the capital," the boy said.

Though his parents were sad, they sent their son off. When he arrived in the capital, he challenged the strongest man. "I heard you are the strongest, but I think I'm stronger. Let's have a contest of strength."

The man laughed and said, "Can you lift a stone from the garden?"

"Of course, that's a piece of cake!" the boy easily lifted the stone and showed it off.

"Then, let's settle this with an arm wrestling match!"

"It's child's play!" he replied, and in an instant, the match was decided.

"You are stronger..." the man conceded. The boy continued to gain fame and began training in Asuka.

One day, an incident occurred where a bell-ringing priest was killed. "I want to find out who did this," the boy offered, and the monk entrusted it to him. At night, a demon appeared, and the boy pulled the demon's hair and chased it away. Since then, the monk remained safe.

In summer, as drought continued and the rice fields dried up, the boy threw a large rock into the river. The rock split the water, allowing it to flow into the village's rice fields. "Thanks to you, everyone!" the villagers expressed their gratitude to the boy.

A few years later, the boy became the head of the temple and was known as the "Dojo Priest." His legend as a strongman was passed down through generations.
