Summary

You Can't Swallow Spit That You've Spit Out

Once upon a time in a small village, there lived a man named Torikani who was a jokester. He had a cheerful personality that allowed him to befriend anyone quickly, but on the flip side, he often made rash comments. One day, he started boasting in the village square, loudly declaring, "I should be the leader of this village!" The people around him were momentarily surprised, but laughter broke out at his words, and everyone decided to enjoy his light-hearted banter.

However, Torikani continued with his jokes and even boldly stated, "My name will go down in history." The villagers believed his words to be a joke, but Torikani took them seriously and decided to take action to make that statement a reality. At a village meeting, he wore a serious expression and asserted, "In order to realize my goals, everyone must follow me."

While the villagers were taken aback, they gradually found themselves drawn to his boldness. However, as Torikani began to take responsibility for his words, his light-hearted jokes transformed into a heavy reality. He started unilaterally deciding village policies, causing resistance among the villagers. Even so, he continued to act tough, saying, "Since I said it, I can't back down now."

After a while, the village fell into a chaotic situation. Unable to bear it any longer, the villagers banded together to render Torikani's words mere nonsense. As the proverb "You can't swallow spit that you've spit out" echoed in his mind, he eventually had to confront the consequences of his words. What remained in the end were his irresponsible words and the division in the village that arose from their impact. He came to understand the weight of his words and reflected on his actions.
