Summary
The More Foolish the Child, the Cuter They Are
Once upon a time, there was a boy named Yuta who lived in a small village. Yuta was very energetic and cheerful, but he was a bit of a scatterbrain. One day, his mother told him, "Go and get a pumpkin." Filled with enthusiasm, Yuta headed towards the fields, but on the way, he looked up at the blue sky and exclaimed, "Wow, the clouds are so cute!" and couldn’t help but stop.
When Yuta arrived at the field, he began to search for the pumpkin. However, what caught his eye was a large stone. "This looks like a pumpkin!" misunderstanding it, Yuta picked up the impressive stone and happily brought it home. "Mom, I brought a pumpkin!" he shouted, and his mother gave a wry smile at the sight. The stone looked nothing like a pumpkin, but his innocent attitude made her smile and think, "What a cute child."
On the dining table that evening, what was presented was the stone that Yuta had brought back. "If this is a pumpkin, we could make something delicious!" Yuta said. His mother laughed and asked, "Yuta, what should we do with this stone?" "A stone pot would be nice!" Yuta replied with all his energy. The villagers gathered to see the scene, and laughter was endless. The villagers remembered the saying, "The more foolish the child, the cuter they are," and found Yuta even more endearing.
The next day, Yuta left the house again saying he was going to get a pumpkin. "This time I’ll find one for sure!" he exclaimed enthusiastically. However, the villagers were looking forward to what kind of amusing trouble he would cause again. And Yuta's "scatterbrained cuteness" continued to be loved by everyone in the village.
