The Princess and the Pea Images

Summary

Once upon a time, there was a prince in a certain country. The prince wanted to marry a real princess, but although many women claimed to be princesses, he could not discern who was truly a princess. Then, the prince's mother came up with an idea.

"Let's conduct a special test to see if she is a princess," the mother said. She stacked ten peas, and on top of those, she placed twenty mattresses, and on top of the mattresses, she piled twenty feather beds.

"Let's have the princess sleep on this. If she is a real princess, she should be able to feel the hardness of the peas."

The next morning, when the princess woke up, the prince's mother immediately asked, "How did you sleep last night?"

The princess replied, looking tired, "I woke up very tired. The bed seemed fluffy and comfortable at first glance, but it felt like there was something hard underneath, so I couldn't sleep at all."

The prince's mother was satisfied with her words and said, "I am convinced she is a real princess."

Thus, the princess was set to marry the prince. This story teaches us the importance of valuing true worth and inner beauty. It conveys the lesson that it is essential to have the ability to see the truth without being deceived by appearances or status.
