The Mysterious Village and the Rumor of the King
Once upon a time, there was a small village that had a mysterious place called the "Shadow Forest." In this forest, rumors circulated that you could hear any hidden stories, which the villagers feared. Although the villagers showed respect for the king in public and devoted themselves to him, once they stepped into the Shadow Forest, their true feelings and complaints would start to spill out.
One day, a young girl named Eli witnessed a strange scene near the forest. She overheard villagers in the shadows speaking ill of the king. "The king only seeks luxury and does not understand our suffering," they murmured among themselves. However, Eli did not dislike those words. She began to empathize with the villagers’ true feelings, even just a little, in her heart.
From that day on, Eli frequented the Shadow Forest, listening to the villagers' voices while expanding her own words. She began to think, "The king must be considering this too," and decided to come up with a way to convey the villagers' grievances to the king. One night, Eli sneaked into the king's castle and spoke directly to him about the villagers' feelings.
The king took Eli's words seriously and was moved to learn the villagers' thoughts. The next day, when the king visited the village, he promised to engage in direct dialogue with the villagers. They realized that bringing the whispers from the shadows into the open could actually help solve their problems and began to recognize the importance of voicing their concerns to each other. Thus, they began to look at both the front and the back sides of their situation and started their journey toward a better future.
