Summary
The Sign of the Mysterious Merchant
At the entrance of a quiet village, there stood a small shop. The sign outside read, "The best magic potions, on sale at a special price." The villagers were captivated by the sign, and many began to gather around. However, not everyone had tried the potions. This was because they had heard rumors that the potions did not necessarily have any effect.
One day, a curious young man named Takeru decided to visit the shop, driven by his adventurous spirit to confirm whether the claims on the sign were true. Upon entering the store, he found a merchant standing in a dimly lit corner, arranging small bottles. The merchant's eyes glinted eerily, and Takeru hesitated for a moment. However, the merchant smiled and said, "Why not try my potion? If you take just one sip, your dreams will surely come true."
Takeru was drawn to those words and picked up one of the small bottles. But he realized that there was no explanation about the ingredients or effects of the potion. Doubts swirled in his mind as he felt anxious, yet he gulped down the potion. In an instant, he was enveloped in dazzling light, and when he opened his eyes, Takeru found himself inside his dreams. The scenery was beautiful, and happy companions surrounded him. However, deep down, he felt an anxiety about reality turning into fiction.
As time passed, Takeru could not awaken from the dream. He realized that there were lies in the merchant's sign and regretted that he had become just a resident of a dream. Continuing to search for a way back to the village, Takeru resolved to warn others. Spreading the words "The sign is a lie," he, now aware of the truth, began a new adventure, believing in the day he would be rescued from between dreams and reality.
