Summary

Whipping the Galloping Horse

In a small village, there was a young man known as the "Early Riser." Every morning, he would dash around the village square at a brisk pace, and his refreshing presence became an object of admiration for the villagers. They believed he possessed some special talent, and gradually, they began to gather around him, mimicking his actions. The momentum of the Early Riser grew, and the entire village became enveloped in his enthusiasm.

However, the village elders frowned at the situation. They said, "The Early Riser is already running fast; there is no need to push him harder." But the villagers disagreed, shouting, "Faster! More perfectly!" Soon, they came to place unreasonable expectations on the Early Riser, and as a result, he became utterly exhausted.

Eventually, the Early Riser could no longer run. At that time, voices from among the villagers called out, "Do your best!" However, he had no strength left. The saddened villagers recalled the teachings of the elders and felt ashamed of their unreasonable expectations placed on the Early Riser. They realized they had not supported him but had merely pushed him harder.

From that point on, the village changed. The villagers proposed to support the Early Riser in regaining his strength and began to encourage him together. Gradually, he began to run again and showed a joyful demeanor while running with the villagers. This story teaches us the importance of not pushing someone too hard during their times of momentum and cherishing the people around us.
