Summary
Once upon a time, four animals—a weary old donkey, a dog, a cat, and a rooster—were abandoned by their master and chased out of their home. Each of them was no longer able to work due to age and fatigue, and they were treated as useless by their master. However, they decided to embark on a journey in search of a new life.
Their destination was the town of Bremen, where they dreamed of making a living as musicians. Along the way, spending time in the forest together helped them become friends, and they looked forward to making music by utilizing each other’s unique skills.
One night, they came across a house inhabited by robbers who were having a party inside. The animals united and decided to start playing their music. The donkey brayed loudly, the dog barked, the cat meowed, and the rooster crowed, startling the robbers who fled in fear. They were able to find a new home and began to live peacefully there.
The lesson of this story is the importance of working together with companions. It shows that even in the most difficult situations, helping one another can reveal new possibilities. Furthermore, it provides hope that regardless of age or condition, one can utilize their abilities and experiences to pursue dreams together.
