Summary

The Town of Turmoil

In a small town called "Storm Town," an annual festival is held. However, this festival is not just any event; it is known as the "Turmoil Festival," where the townspeople come together. They create large objects made of balloons that represent their lives and problems, and they release them into the river, popping them with a thunderous sound to relieve their daily stress.

One year, a new mayor named "Serenity" took office in the town. He proposed that the townspeople stop the "Wild Balloon Festival" and instead have a quieter celebration. However, the residents refused to listen to his suggestions and decided to continue with the "Turmoil Festival." They felt a true sense of liberation by expressing their suffering through balloons and bursting them.

To persuade the residents, Mayor Serenity held a large meeting in the theater the day after the festival. He used a "windmill model" he created to propose a new festival that harnessed the power of the wind. However, the residents ignored his idea and instead accused him of "totalitarianism in the turmoil." They felt their unity in the fierce festival, like a violent storm.

Years later, the townspeople gradually began to be overwhelmed by the chaotic balloons. The town fell into disarray, spiraling out of control. Faced with this situation, Mayor Serenity finally resolved to reinvigorate Storm Town with a new festival he devised, cutting through the waves of turmoil. With the phrase "Turning turmoil into a complete circle" in his heart, he stood up to once again impart that teaching to the townspeople.

This story depicts the dangers of being trapped by past actions and habits and the courage to confront them. It also satirically expresses the conflict between tradition and innovation.
