This is a derogatory term used to refer to someone who occupies a certain position and seems unlikely to retire. It is also used to describe someone who overstays their welcome when you want them to leave. Furthermore, it can be used sarcastically towards someone who arrives extremely late to a meeting or gathering.

Summary

Takeshi and the Monster

Once upon a time, there was a boy named Takeshi who lived in a small village. Takeshi was a popular figure in the village, always spreading bright smiles. However, one day, a terrifying monster appeared in the village. This monster constantly startled the villagers and disrupted the cheerful Takeshi.

The monster had large eyes and a head adorned with horns. When anyone saw its form, they would tremble in fear, but Takeshi gathered his courage and decided to confront it. "Monster, why are you staying here for so long? The village festival is about to begin," he said.

Then, strangely, the monster stood still, listening to Takeshi's words. "I suppose it's about time for me to leave. But I can't go back without something interesting," it said, sounding a bit troubled. Takeshi, laughing, replied, "If you come to the festival, there will be plenty of fun things to enjoy!" The monster became curious and decided to join Takeshi at the festival.

At the festival, on Takeshi's suggestion, the monster appeared as a special guest. At first, the villagers were shocked, but they gradually became drawn to the monster’s humorous movements. The monster also recognized that it was time for it to join in the fun. "A considerate monster knows when it's time to leave," it reminded itself, and then it vanished from the village enveloped in laughter. The villagers thanked Takeshi, and the monster was able to find its own form of enjoyment as well.
