Summary
The Arrogant King and His Downfall
Once upon a time, there was a very arrogant king in a certain kingdom. He took pride in his own beauty and wisdom, looking down on his subjects. "My judgment is absolute. No one can oppose me!" he boasted, surrounding himself only with those who flattered him. As a result, the kingdom gradually became enveloped in a distorted atmosphere.
One day, the king decided to appoint a new advisor. He boasted that he would choose a wise person and promised a huge reward to anyone who could convince him. However, the one he sought was someone that would make anyone laugh. The man, named Debo, was ugly in appearance and only spouted nonsense when he opened his mouth. Nevertheless, the king was satisfied with his reflection of his own beauty in Debo and decided, “This is the perfect advisor for me!”
The king elevated Debo and used him to flaunt his own dignity, but in the meanwhile, the country fell into ruin and the citizens gradually became weary. Sensing the king's arrogance, Debo warned, "Your Majesty, the people's anger will soon explode," but the king laughed dismissively, saying, "There is no one who would dare challenge me!" and paid him no mind.
Then the day came. The people's dissatisfaction reached its peak, and a great riot broke out. The king witnessed the consequences of his own arrogance and found no way to escape. The arrogant king finally fell from his throne, and the beautiful kingdom crumbled overnight. All that remained under the king was an empty throne, and Debo stood beside it, grinning ominously, "As expected, arrogance comes before a downfall!"
