Summary
The Rules of the Mysterious Village
One day, a young man named Takeru ventured deep into the forest with a heart full of adventure alongside his friends. Soon, they arrived at a strange place known as the "Forgotten Village." The village was beautiful, with vibrant flowers blooming amidst peculiar music. However, although the villagers wore kind smiles, it seemed they harbored some secrets.
While interacting with the villagers, Takeru learned that they valued the rule "When in Rome, do as the Romans do." In the village, everyone had their own roles and lived by adhering to prescribed clothing and manner of speaking. At first, Takeru tried to maintain his own style, but as he observed the villagers enjoying themselves, he gradually decided to follow their customs.
As Takeru began to conform to the village's rules, he gradually warmed up to the villagers, and a change began to occur within his heart. He danced to the village music, savored dishes with unique seasonings, and each day was filled with joyful experiences. However, as the day to leave the village approached, a sense of unease crossed his mind, making him feel as if he might be losing himself.
Ultimately, Takeru resolved to leave the village. He expressed his gratitude to the villagers and chose to embark on a journey to find himself. He realized that while it is important to uphold the rules of the village, it is equally vital to maintain one's own identity. As the villagers bid him farewell, they smiled genuinely and wholeheartedly supported Takeru’s new adventure. From then on, wherever he went, Takeru continued his journey, cherishing the lesson of "When in Rome, do as the Romans do," while also valuing himself.
