Summary
In the mid-19th century, reports of a mysterious sea monster terrorizing oceans worldwide emerged, attacking ships with incredible power and technology, making it seemingly invincible. Professor Pierre Aronnax, a scientist and naturalist, is commissioned by the American government to investigate the creature alongside several experts. Accompanied by his loyal servant Conseil and the brave Canadian whaler Ned Land, they embark on the state-of-the-art steamship Arabia for a great ocean adventure. After facing numerous trials, a massive submarine believed to be the 'sea monster' appears, threatening to sink the Arabia overnight. Amid the chaos, they discover that the monster is actually the submarine Nautilus, commanded by the enigmatic Captain Nemo. Captured and held hostage, the trio is overwhelmed by the Nautilus's advanced technology as they adapt to life beneath the sea. They explore uncharted underwater cities, encounter strange marine life, and battle giant squids near the underwater volcano of Elephant Island. As they traverse the Indian Ocean and Antarctic waters, they witness the mysteries of unknown ecosystems. The Nautilus freely navigates the deep seas, exploring beautiful coral reefs and dark trenches. Gradually, Captain Nemo's tragic past and desire for revenge against humanity emerge, revealing his choice to live in isolation as a guardian of the ocean. Understanding his ideals and inner conflicts, Aronnax, Conseil, and Ned devise a plan to escape. Overcoming numerous obstacles, they eventually succeed in escaping the Nautilus, surviving a storm, and reaching safety. Captain Nemo's legacy and solitary life leave a profound impact on their lives.
