Summary
Part One: Das Rheingold
The story begins with the precious gold lying at the bottom of the Rhine River, guarded by the Nibelung dwarves known as the Dwarfslingers. This gold is said to possess the power to manipulate voices and can greatly influence the world when forged. The protagonist, Alberich, devises a plan to seize this gold. The story reaches its climax as the curse of the ring envelops all the characters. Alberich continues his betrayals, scheming to obtain the ring.
