Summary

I Think, Therefore I Am

One day, Takeru, a philosopher living in a village, was deep in contemplation about his own existence. He passionately addressed the gathered villagers in the town square almost every day, proclaiming, "Doubt is the beginning of everything." However, few villagers took Takeru's words seriously, treating him simply as an eccentric.

One morning, Takeru had a new revelation. "In order to prove my existence, I must have others exist as well," he thought. Thus, he posed a challenge to the villagers to understand his idea. "I want you all to consider how much you exist." Though confused, the villagers decided to listen to Takeru's words.

As days passed, the village became enveloped in a strange atmosphere. The residents began an absurd competition to prove their own existence in daily life. Debates emerged about whose thoughts were the deepest, and endless questions ensued. Takeru marveled at the sight, surprised that his assertion had led the entire village into confusion, yet he was also intrigued.

In the end, the villagers sought to prove each other's existence continuously, making daily life incredibly awkward. Takeru himself, overly conscious of others' existence, began to doubt his own. He pondered, "What does 'I think, therefore I am' truly mean?" Ultimately, as his inquiry spread among the people, the village found itself lost in a labyrinth of thought.
