In a quiet village lived a young man named Takeru, who spent happy days with his beloved wife, Mari. Takeru devoted himself to the village, and Mari, in turn, responded to his kindness. They believed they would always live happily together. However, one night, Takeru's discovery of a mysterious light outdoors would become the catalyst to change his fate dramatically.

The source of the light turned out to be a magical stone sealed away by an ancient sorcerer. When Takeru picked up the stone, he heard a voice from somewhere saying, "With this stone, you can know the heart of your beloved." Takeru thought that if he could know true love, it would deepen his bond with Mari, and he decided to use the magical stone led by the voice.

The next day, Takeru, using the power of the stone, peeked into Mari's heart, and an astonishing truth unfolded before him. She was, in fact, in love with another man in the village, Daigo. Takeru experienced a pain so intense it felt like his heart would shatter, but at the same time, a strange doubt began to sprout somewhere in his mind.
