Summary

The Thief's Sleep Talk

Once upon a time, in a quiet village, there lived a man named John who was known for his "mischievous" nature. Every night, it was his routine to steal food from the local farmers. However, John was clever and managed to commit his crimes without anyone noticing. Because of this, the villagers hardly suspected him.

One night, after stealing fresh vegetables from a farm as usual, John was relaxing at home, satisfied. However, that night, he began to talk in his sleep. "Ah, that tomato was the best! Next time, I’ll steal an even bigger one!" This voice reached the ears of the old woman living next door.

The old woman woke up immediately, astonished. "Is John stealing?!" she thought, and decided to share this information with the villagers. The next morning, the villagers gathered and began to devise a plan to catch their mischievous neighbor.

That night, the villagers surrounded John's house. They could hear John talking in his sleep, "Next, I’ll take some carrots too!" Upon hearing this, the villagers burst into laughter and finally caught the mischievous John. From that day on, his sleep talk, revealing his true intentions while he was asleep, became a story of laughter in the village. Afterward, John began to work seriously and spent enjoyable days with the villagers.
